Suspect arrested in store clerk's slaying By NATHANIEL JONESStar-Telegram Staff Writer Arlington police have arrested one suspect in connection with Tuesday’s killing of a store clerk during an attempted robbery and charged him with capital murder. Jared Birmingham, 21, was escorted out of a north Arlington apartment about noon Friday. Birmingham limped out of the second-floor apartment in the 2500 block of Country Ridge Lane. Police say they believe he injured his left foot in the robbery. Shekhar Regmi, 20, of Irving, a Nepalese immigrant, was shot once in the back of the head late Tuesday by one of two masked men who held up the Fina Mart at 2005 E. Copeland Road near Six Flags Over Texas, police said. A warrant has been issued for two other suspects — a second man in the store and a third who apparently drove the getaway car, Detective Kyle Dishko said Friday. Birmingham was the taller suspect in video images shown on the Star-Telegram online edition this week, police said. Investigators say they believe he fired the fatal shot. Regmi worked part-time at the store. He was studying engineering at North Lake College. About 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, two men — one about 5-feet-8, and the other about 6 feet — walked into the store as Regmi was stocking in a back room and a second clerk was sitting below the counter. As soon as the men entered the store, the other clerk went to the rear of the store and hid in a cooler, police have said. For an unknown reason, the taller man shot Regmi, Dishko said. Both suspects ran from the store. Police say they believe that no cash was taken. The suspect who drove the getaway car contacted police after bad feelings about the incident, Dishko said. Bond for Birmingham has been set at $250,000. Link to web: http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/local/13474021.htm

Shakher wasn't gangster, if any one had meet him then he would know about him. I know him since last four years. He was simple and friendly. You are making comment in something which is worthless. What you are going to feel when I say one of your family member the active member of the gangster and he needs to die. It doesn't make any sense to make nonsence comment about any one whom you don't know. Shakher is no more in between us and I request my friends not to say any thing about him. My request to all, please, please......... If u can't please change the topic.

No matter what you guys say..this is a murder case... Neither DA's (District Attorney) Office nor the police can rule out this possiblitiy at this phase of the investigation. There could be many other possible senarios as well. Gangsta feud is one of those possibilities. Any homocide squad of police forces around North America will not overlook the possibility of gangsta fued given the fact that the black dudes did take cash from the store and simply targeted a person. So why did they target the person, did not take cash and spared another employee. It looks like the balck dudes were not after the cash but the person. There could be other possiblities but given the available info about the circumstances. It looks so much like a gangsta fued.

By the way, simply assuming that this might have been a result of gangsta fued does not disrespect in anyway. I really dont think so. I dont feel that if I were to make make some other assumptions will disrespect as well. At this point in the investigation, it's an open question and anyone is free to make assumptions. Why should I not make it as one my assumptions ? More than 11,000 gun realted deaths happen in the US. Many of these are results of gangsta fued and gunplay so this stats gives me an ample of room to make an asumption of gangsta fued.

If he was a part of gangsters, you wouldn't be alive till now. So just stop it over here. Don't try to evaluate yourself.

Why should I stop now ? It is an open question and I'll continue to assert my assumption until the investigators rule out the possibility of gangsta fued.

Dymn if it is case then probably you'll be spitting at thousands of officers of homocide squads of police forces in the US. They are the ones who makes this assumption after deaths of young people shot by other young people simply because in many cases gangsta fued has turned out to be a cause.

Do not ask the wrath to fall on you. Just think for the moment calmly and make commnets in this sensitive matter. peace out

I have heard from close friends of Shekhar that he is not at all involved in the gangsterial activites. He was an innocent soul who has departed and was quite new to US. He was appointed at the store to do stock filling work. That day unfortunately the person who was working on the cash register usually asked Shekhar to come to the register to relieve him as he had to go to do some other work for a short while. Shekhar did not know how to operate the cash resgister well as he hardlly worked on the register. It was a disaster when the masked demons came in and the guy who was originally working on the register saw them and hid away as he was terrified. I think anybody in that situation would do that when an armed robbery is in progess. After that they asked shekhar for the money from the register at gunpoint and shekar was trying to open the register but he did not know how to. Shekar was just a kid and terrified and nervous as hell. Imagine yourself going to an ordeal like this after a hard days work. He was puching various keys to open it open but nothing was working the robbers thought he was buying time and is trying to trap them so they shot him and left. And Mr Khoobadi Please keep quite now for God's Sake. Don't comment when you don't know the whole story Bhadurs are good at doing that...

Kaobadi.... Do you know why they didn't take any cash??? if you had read the older news about that incident, you wouldn't be saying what you are saying. The freaking register didn't open on time for that kid to take the money out of it and give it to the robbers. Since the register wasn't opening something snapped in the crackheads brain and he shot that nepali dude.. GET IT you freak!!!! It would be nice to know who and where this piece of shit lives. I would like to cut his balls and shove it up his mouth and come to sajha and write that Kaobadi was gay and liked to suck on you know what and he didn't get to suck it so he cut his own jewels and try to satisfy his insanity, and during that process he chocked on his own balls and died. R.I.P.

i agree with khaobadi a little, in some way. could be gangster fued, could NOT be gangster fued. could be a fued that happened in school, that put this result. but i think the fued could not be ruled out, as khao said.

They(robbers) did not take money that means there should be hiding another reason. i think they wanted to kill another clerk, not the our innocent nepali dude.the clerk knows to them(robbers) that's why he went behind the cooler when they(robbers) came inside. but our innocent nepali dude did not know anything and what to do at the time, despite he got shot in his head. that's horrible....!!!ever i have heard in my life. but i am happy they got busted...!!!

The answer will come out of the investigation ... But I doubt your level of thinking guys, what would you expect from a 20 year old boy...a gangsta warfare??? a leader of a whole bunch of Nepalees Ghettos who rage a war against the black dicks??and becoz of that, the black dudes need to kill him in a mafia style ?? , how did they know he was working on that day and time when it wasnt his regular schedule??? or did they put their own version of 'CIA' for him?? Radical thinking is good but please base them on logics not on assumptions. Its a clear situation ' the dudes wanted money, the cash register did not open, they shot the poor guy...now after shooting what wud murderer think, RUN or RUN WITH REGISTER, ofcourse RUN...Now if you think things go in Hollywood fashion then I dont have anything to say than dream on. I still mourn for the departed soul.

I mourn as well, but im not completely proving that its gangster warfare! i said there could be some other kind of fued that resulted this. the fight and killings don't just happen in GANGSTER WARS. i mourn as well, its really sad. but im not blaming this nepali guy for his own death. try to understand what i am saying. if not then..fuk it!

Everyone else is completely ruling out the gangsta theory as if everyone were present there at the incident as eyewitnesses. Retards...better know the meaing of "assumption".

There could have been a feud, but a coordinated attack (if assumed to be true)after that is very unlikely and thus not logical. so where's the question that khaobadi raised...so called 'gangsta war'...... give me a break will ya?

Three dudes came to take a life of a single man. Isnt it a coordinated attack ?. With a gun, a single person is enough to take a life of a single man so why did it take three person to get him killed. The answer is simple. What if a single person could not handle the situation so the plan went in favour of "three man team" instead of a single man shooter.

Another fact we all know is that the death did not happen as a result of random shootings. If it were a death in a random shootings there would be a lot less ground for me to place a gangsta fued theory.
