I read in a post that the King (Royal Family?) gets Rs. 67 crore a year. Is this correct? Who all does this cover?

btw correction is ... general people used to have access to passport. my brother went to uk in 1984 for his higher studies... my dad is a commoner so no connection to high class. he was no high class ... he got his passport easily. i got mine in 1989 and it was no problem either.... one thing is for sure for genuine people they was no scrutiny... and no hassale like now... i got my passport in 1989 in 3 days... it took me 5 days to renew it from Lalitpur district administration this time in 2003

I do not necessarily agree to any comments of yours Mr. Thapap because I have firm belief in democracy and flat rejection of autocracy. 1. Authorising local bodies to facilitate passports to the public has only provided the laymen like us to create chance of overseas study and employment on our own. Before, it was only high ranking panchas to enjoy this oppurtunity. 2.Students are seeking education abroad not because the quality has deteriorated from what it was in the panchayat era but because democracy has opened horizons to practically vibrant western education. 3.US $1=NRs 20 only. Foreign exchange rates are based on certain economic indices which you appear to not understanding at all. Mind you, our rate depends much largely to the Indian rate and this is stale . Nepali rupiya 160= Bharu 100. Before it was 165 I suppose. 1 US dollar is equivalent to more then hundred chinese yuan(but not sure hai) 4. Lunch box Rs. 5. now 50, not a big rise in terms of the global growth of commodity value. Just to let you know that weeks before, the kerosene oil was increased from 28/litre to 36/litre. Has any government except the government under Gyanendra increased the price of fuel this highly in Nepal's history? Deuba sarkar pani rajaikai sarkar ho sathi, chokhina nakhoja. 5. I am not rich. Not at all. And don't be fooled by Gyanendra's mitha kura. He is dangerous. Change your mind and protest against autocracy.

in another post you proudly announce that you are respected figure in big company in west but it is so sad that you do not understant the economy.... you say this government increased price high..... but before that allegation try to find out why? it is because the leaders always try to keep it low to increase popularity in election they brought NOC to unfavourable competition... it is so bad now that if government had not increase the price NOC would have been closed and a indian oil corporation would have taken a marwari in hand and started selling it more expensive.... just go out compare the price of fuel in other country and in nepal.. just compare with india you will find nepal is sellin for cheap...

newuserr... okey u cannot agree in terms.... that's your choice and my own... staying abroad nepal and comparing "gold with sand" is a little bit tough ain't it?? you know who pegged NRS 160=IC 100 it was this democratic governments... pls. pls.. do not talk about the currency pegging and the float currency. one fundamental argument you missed is "PEOPLE HAD CHOICE OF GOING ABROAD FOR EDUCATION" before 1990 and they had done that ... easily then and now. "ITS NOT THE BROADNING OF HORIZONS ITS THE AFFORDABILITY AND THE HIGHER SPENDING POWER OF HIGHER NUMBER OF PEOPLE"

I cannot argue anymore with the custodians of tyranny. You do not have the mental strength to understand what I say ( to Merinepal so n so and thapap).
