Regarding the porn-pollution that underwent Sajha this morning

I instead tried to help hide such threads from the homepage window, as hushpuppy appealed, by creating multiple threads. I even sought the help of 2 of my "foreign" colleagues who were watching the "LANDING OF DISCOVERY" with me in our little workshop. I gave them my username and password and they also helped me in uploading "meaningless" threads.

Now, it seems that San has deleted all my postings as "shree5".

यो म माथिको अन्याय नभएर के हो ? Is this not "injustice" and if it is not, then what, in fact, is "injustice" ?

San jee, if you have guts, reveal the IP and whatever IDs you have in your inventory of that poster who posted such graphic material in almost every visible thread, dont show your "shaan" by making "shree5" a scapegoat and banning his/her postings.

When there were more than 30 postings from you, instead of deleting them one by one, it made sense to disable all of them posted by you at once so that the sanctity of the site is returned right away.

Furthermore, I had sent you an email explaining to you that your other postings will be enabled soon, and that I appreciated your effort.

People come to Sajha and see meaningless threads posted by hushpuppy and you. Getting slight clue that something abnormal had happened in previous threads, ppl navigate to the older threads to see what actually had happened. And they end up seeing the nude picture !!! That was the exact thing you didn't want them to do.
So Mr. X, by polluting N threads himself, not only successfully pollutes 2N threads but also manages to have your and hushpuppy's a/c blocked temporarily.
Well, i highly appreciate your feeling of duty towards sajha but these kind of guys are better off left alone and ignored.

As for posting his IP address, it may not be a good idea 'coz
1) It may not be legal to post somebody's personal data in a public forum depending on your locality.
2) Not all the computers on the Internet have a global IP add. The chances that the IP add. is of his gateway, web proxy, anonymous proxy or public proxy (like google web accelerator) is just too big to ignore .

I have never quite gotten around the idea why people post under different pseudonyms... I just dont understand..

But I think that's deception and also a bit rude to be quite honest. Arrgghhh....

Folks, I would like to further clarify what I ACTUALLY MEANT

I have no grievances against San personally when he is trying to clean the mess up. What I really meant is if we can build up a concensus to allow San to publish the identity of such ill-willed persons who rather deface Sajha. I mean, this particular action was a real bad one and personally I would support San if he does anything in public to discourage this type of action.

you took me wrong again, i m really sorry abt that. i think i do have a humorous kind-of image in sajha and mostly, ppl take me as such. that was more humor intended rather than a "challenge" with which i was SOLELY trying to bring more support in for you if you indeed intented to bash this evil poster and bring out his identity or whatever. the other thing was you did not ban hushpuppy and other fellows who were collaborating to hide this mess but deleted only my postings. Please, dont take me wrong, my sole intention was to gather concensus to isolate that porn-poster and make it easy to reveal his/her identity if you wanted to do that. Please take that thread off, i would have done that myself seeing you offended but i can not, so if it offends you, please take that thread off, i wish sajha remains a decent place as always.

My stand on revealing the IP address as requested (challanged?), "सानजी, शान नै देखाउनी खुबी छ भने त्यो अभद्र नाँगा तस्वीर टाँस्ने मान्छेको IP सहित ठेगाना, नाली बेली प्रकाशित गरम ।" is as follows:

I don't want to perpetrate this instance of intolerance and cyber vandalism by trying to identify the IP address of the perpretrator. IP address does not spell out a persons name and address. IP address only shows the internet service provider that a person is using so it could be anyone using that ISP at that point.

As far as prevention goes. Thanks to a similar perpetrator in the past, I have created a very simple method to deter or reduce such scenes in sajha. Previously even when a username was banned, someone could register another username right away and flood kurakani with inappropriate/blank messages. Because of similar such incident in the past I have had to come up with better ways of stopping this than to have to block the whole domain from accessing sajha.

Thesedays users who register usernames have to be approved before they are allowed to post. This is to make sure that people with ill intent are not allowed to post in sajha by not approving users from few particular domains. I tend to be very lenient about approving so I started approving people from the "problem" domain as well.

And it so happened that this case of vandalism also came from the same domain as the one before, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same person. And the person did have reason for flooding again after few exchanges of emails few days back regarding some non issue which he believed was a big deal. In the past too this person flooded because he had a reason to. I hope this person realizes that such acts of hate are pretty useless because it obviously takes a lot of effort on his part to post such explicit pornographic images and this time it took him a total of one hour to do this act. All that effort is wasted when it takes me less than a minute to delete all his posting and ban him from posting any more in sajha.

I am not going to be approving any registrations from that particular domain for a while, which is regrettable since people from that domain won't be able to post, but the bright side of it is that they will still be able to view everything.

If you notice such acts in future please don't create multiple floodings.

Just to add one more point: If you are logged in with your registered username, you can easily click on "Notify to Admi" link on every posting on the threads. It might take a while for San to read this notification, however, it has worked well before.

That's quite a low-level comment. Before San can do that, San will have to first publish Shree5 or Hannetanne's IP. Even the nickname 'Hannetanne' is so obscene already!!! That alone speaks of the quality of the metality of the author of that person!!
