Now now hon stop stereotyping. My mom never reads my emails or opens my mail, so I guess that applies to "some" or few parents only. She's also ok with me making male err "boy" friend. Granpa is cool too as long as the male is a gentleman. He doesn't want me to get serious, that's all and I am too young to think of marriage anyways.

Tell u what, why don't u have a "talk" with your parents, tell them that their nosing around is making u uncomfortable.

Some parents can be overprotective. But you have to try to understand that they do that because they don't want any harm to come to you. It can be difficult and annoying, but you can't change them. One way to get them to trust you more is by telling them the details yourself rather than be asked about it. Telling them yourself is probably more easier on yourself than the annoyance at being asked!

I agree with those saying you need to be as open as reasonably possible with them. It can take a while for many parents to get used to the things their kids do but most parents in the end want thier children to be happy and will usually come around.

My two cents ... ( and it worked for me)

Best wishes.

Nah, I had to tell them it was a cute hottie bombshell - they would have kicked me out if I told them if I was hanging out with Castafire.

damn i'm jealous..ehheeh

oh i was refering to the parents to nepali chick was refereing to..

mine's supercool ..out of the almost five years i have been here dad sent me a mantra:

Perseverence, Patience and Perspiration with the email titled life's a bitcch..how Nazi can he get..i told him I am a communist so don't worry about me.That's one email in 5 yrs.he;s soooo adorable...he knows i need so much space....beyond that i know he has spies at my work too..

Mom's and i talk about everything almost everyday..and I have become quite a liar by now that i'm worried if she'll get another heartattack if she finds out....

I'm simply glad that at least they are there for me..and i am here for them ..so no complaints whatsoever..except when bank balance falls below zero..then i really miss them ..or they send me nice pics of KTM..i wonder what i am doing out here..u know the usual...its too tough to abide by strict philosophies they instilled in me and i am stupid enuf to carry them out blindly....

nepalichick - if you want your freedomm, you have to prove ur self and fight for it. its not gonna be easy to convince them to let u go out late or date ppl, but if u stand up for what u want & are reasonable, theyll come areound & understand....its worth it,.... just be sure 2 respect them 2.

Ok, as long as we are talking about strict parents, I think you should hear about my parents too.

My dad is like super strict guy. I remember when I was in high school, he never let me hang out with my friends or go to movies or what not. Now, that's being a control freak.

My mom was kool, though. She wanted to know where I was going and as long as I come home on time, she was fine.

Nepalichick #1 - Grow up, will ya? Your parents are just trying to protect you until you can handle yourself on your own. If you want your freedom, try living on your own (and that includes supporting yourself). You should at least be thankful that they are looking after you. Try growing up without your parents like the way I had to. Then, you'll see how much you miss your parents presence.

And oh yeah, please stop talking ghetto and learn how to write properly. That's so not cool.

More than 68% Nepali parents are corrupt socially, politically and morally.

So they teach their childern same thing at their home. When kid grow up they act what their parent teach them at home. Some people can be change mentally. Most of them can not change. Even they become doctor, engineer, senior officer. No matter what.

Home education is first and the best education.

If home education fu-cked up, no matter how hard you get higher education. It will be hard to change personally in life.

That is way, most of the Nepali and south asian are fu-cked up.

nepalichik#1,
Wait until you become a parent. Your parents are doing this just because they don't want you to become a parent before you turn 20.

nice.. u r not so nice...
nepali ma k bhanchhan le testo lai.. justo ki

"jun goru ko singh chhaina tesko naam tikhe"
"jo chhai aandho tesko naam netra lal"
"jo chhai bhudhhu chha tesh ko naam chhai bidwan"

imagine shifting blame on somebody else.
if ur statement was true then there would not be that many nepalese working their sweat off in foreign land for that remittance money for their family back home. practically, they are putting their life in line; whether its in ASeAN[loas, singapore, malasiya, even thailand],japan, and arab countries.. for their family back home. for their better future.
Do u think that they would be doing that if a portion of your statement about "being corrupt" is true?

may be the influential class is like that... in which...

=====================================
again my insomniac thouts.....
as always
what do i know???
