I have to say that the speech made by Bill clinton on monday was very powerful. He was so articulate, confident and charming. I was speechless. I do not support the scandals that he created or happened ( on moral grounds). But that man sure has talent. By the way Hillary was good too ( powerfully, witty and fiery) .What do you guys say?

If the scandal didn't happen before, he would have been the candidate and he would have won by a huge margin

It's not because of the scandal ... the US constitution prohibits any President of the USA from holding office for more than two terms. The constitutional amendment was made after FDR was elected for unprecedented four consecutive terms. That is why Clinton cannot be a Presidential candidate again. Gore could have but he opted not to. Speaking of electoins, here is a funny form of Bush-bashing ..

thaag, I think u r not entitled to run for office after 8 years. Political pundits of sajha might help to shed some light into that issue. Nevertheless, I think the charisma, articulation, and the confidence Clinton carries himself is truly amazing. his analogy between and strength and wisdom was perhaps the best punchline to the bush administration. It was probably in 95' when I first saw his speech on american budget. It was totally scintillating then -- and very little has changed now. That was the second best speech I have heard in my life. First, of course, speech of Hitler's electrifying speech of 38-39 where he stood dead silent for the first five minutes and then delivering one of the mindblowing speech that mesmerized his generation. Even though I didn't understand the word, except for November criminals, i was spell bound. :)

I am sure you can't run for third consecutive term, but I thought you could for non consecutive terms. Thanks for correcting me :)

The is very talanted.....NO DOUBT! He did something that Kerry and Edwards had not been able to do in their campaign and that is he neatly turned every issue the Republicans run on -- tax cuts, national security, terrorism, even family values -- to the advantage of the Democrats. More specifically, he turned those tables to the advantage of John Kerry and running mate John Edwards.

George Bush has always been deeply disliked in Canada in most part because of the fact that the Bush and some of his people in his inner circle deplored Canada for not helping the US in invasion of Iraq. The funniest thing I ever witnessed so far is the fact that in May 2004, according to CNN poll, George Bush was more unpoular here in Canada than in Iraq.

Theresa Heinz has got nothing on Hillary. I wasn't too impressed by her speech either. I was expecting her to give a more personal and warmer view of Kerry to the public through her speech. Instead, she just kept talking about herself. It just didn't do it for me. I respect her as a philanthropist, but I find her political views kinda wishy-washy. She was a republican for the longest time when she was married to Heinz (the PA senator) and after he died, and she got married to Kerry, she became a democrat. Its just not convincing. If Kerry gets elected, Theresa Heinz will be better off in the background in the Laura-Bush-role.

yah Rosie i know HIllary and Terrisa dont have anything, but just felt like saying it:P but i think that woman is strong and bold as she sounds and how she talked abt woman rights. yah i know it has only been few months she became a democrat, but i beilive doing better in public has nothing to do with your political status. no i dont think she sud be in background like laura is, she sud be MORE LIKE Hilary clinton, supporting women rights and taking part in them. ooh yah she also run heinz ketchup :P

I wonder if George Bush ever removed that "stained" carpet laying inside the Oval Office from the Clinton days before George moved into the White House.
