I recently filled I-485 (EB2) and waiting for finger print notice. Has anyone recently got their I-485 approved? Please share how much time it takes to get it approved? I am planning to go home around end of September- 4 months from now (Dashain time). Will I be able to obtain at least AP/EAD?

In TSC, they are currently processing i-485 from December and in NSC, they are processing i-485 from november. So It would be around 6 months wait before you get your i-485 approved.

Your AP/EAD should be in your hand before september. They are usually approved within 2 months though they say it takes up to 75 days.

My 485 was accepted by Nebraska in Nov 8th and it's still in fingerprint fee.

From the processing time information, it would take a month more.

I've been checking the status page compulsively and hopefully I get the good news soon.

Thank you. My lawyer said that they are processing I 485 based on Nationality not based on date of filing. So, Can anyone confirm this?

With Trump in charge I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case.

Today the status got updated to an RFE :(

"On June 12, 2017, we mailed a request for additional evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status"

How long will this delay my application?

You should receive the details in a week or so. Then it is up to you when you reply that RFE ( before the deadline). After they receive your response, most of the cases get approved within 2 weeks.

M00se ,
7 months is not a bad turnaround time at all.
Did you take the Gonorrhea test? if not that's what your RFE is probably about.

Congrats, you are very close.

nepali_usa,

My received date is Nov. 8th from Nebraska (EB2) and just got an RFE. So, yours should update this week or next.

Hopefully approved directly for you.
