Dear Sajhaiites,

What would be the best book to learn Sanskrit with Nepali as the meta-language?

I have found a really good book with English as the meta-language here:

http://dharmasound.net/Languages/Sanskrit/Introduction%20to%20Sanskrit%20by%20Thomas%20Egenes.pdf

If there is no link for the book in Nepali, I assume there would be no links for what I am looking for, so names of the book and the writer would be appreciated.

Thanks

Khalisisi

To learn Sanskrit is as easy as other languages but the Pandits of Sanskarit made it very sophisticated language. As they made it sophisticated the readers are pushed away and people with normal literacy was unable to even read it forget about the content.
Unable to read it? I mean they started to joint 3, 4, 5, 6 word together and made one single word. I mean too many suffix and prefix together.

As it became more sophisticated language and narrowed to thagadhaari's. A rich language squeezed in veds and puraan.

So, New pandit need to make it simple, write it as we speak it. Once my father asked me to do chandi paath in dasai. I had hard time to read it because it was made complicated ( may be modern technology will make it easy), and the translation was nothing but the stuti gan ( flattery).
