When I wanted to take a semester break, I went to the international student office and talked to a adviser; he told me that since I had taken classes for 8 months before that, I could just take a semester break and use that as my vacation period. I got my I-20 signed and left.

Your case is probably different. Just contact your adviser he/she will tell you want you need to do. Good luck!!!

My case was different, I had taken summer and fall classes so I took a break during spring semester. I was in Nepal for 2 months and came back. I didn't face any problems at all. But I am guessing your case is different. Are you taking classes in summer?

if i am planning to take a break next semester,i think i have to do that ,right?..and if i am not wrong we can enroll in just one class during summer,hoina ra ?plan ta testai gari ra ho..aba advisor le ke bhancha tesma ni bhar parcha hola...but thanks a lot sathi
