does anyone else notice that almost some nepali news anchors SUCK.. they have no emotions, are all monotone, and always reading off the script like they are trying to memorize and talk so fast, like they're in a talking race. i feel like getting a job as a news anchor in nepal just has two requirements, can read and has good connections. their lack of charm, and emotions makes them look like robots reading a book, so i am never interested in watching the news. im not saying all are bad, some are good...but some just suck..does anyone else feel the same way??

And nowdays there are 3-5 news channels ( only news ) in nepal. I don't know when did you watch nepali  news last time.Even nepal television has changed the way to present news.

In Media, market price, real estate, traffic and pollution, nepal is in high.

I agree. They talk so loud. It seems they are selling Fish in Fish Market. I DON'T WATCH Nepali news. But I READ Nepali news online.

I am a news junkie and i love watching news...but back home every time i attemped to watch news i felt this sick feeling and couldnt wait to get it over with!! its terribly monotonus format and un-glamorous news readers make it worse...I am also an audience of AAj Tak and the Chinese news shows....Indian news shows are even louder, repetative and full of bogus details of serials and bollywood celebs... full of tacky graphics....they are just as bad...i think the news broadcasting here in US is now shaping into the form of conversation and the anchors bring their own personal touch and sometimes i have found news items making me laugh, ponder, feel sad...what i am saying it that news anchors can bring out vivid emotions alive if done correctly....When it comes to entertainment i thnk CNN has hit the nail.......

But to be quite fair, these guys didn't go to a reputed school for Mass Communication or Jouralism. Doubt they even hold Bachelors degree.
