I think this film will make more sense to Buddhists, and more similar to the movie "Little Buddha". The theme of the film is giving up ego, which acts a swiss cheese in front of the mouse. Mouse is only able to see through the hole becasue the cheese is blocking the view. The ego alters the reality. Thus, unable to see the real view of the world as it is. Sort of like Freud's altered consciousness theory. In the film "The Successor, The Meditation Master has sanyasis, who are pursuing to giving up their ego and reach enlightenment. Not every one is able to drop his or her ego completely, so the master has to choose, who is successful in dropping his or her ego to be his next successor, and teach the new generation about guiding them into the path of enlightenment. Who will the meditation master choose? In real life such Meditation Masters are: Dalai Lama, Osho, Zen Master, Tao Master etc. The film is fiction, but root of the message comes from Buddha. If you think "Little Buddha" is lame, then you will say this film is also lame. But, give it a chance, you might like it.

Little Buddha is not lame because that's a hollywood production. "The Successor" is lame because it is made by one very very amateurish person at home.
I still do not know what is the purpose of this movie trailer. Is the feature length in production? Is the movie only for sajha visitors? How does it work? What's going on?
Still, I will give the trailer 1 star out of 5 stars.

Hahaha LOL...It is true "The Successor" is made by amateur, but trained person. I think he completed two semesters of film production courses, and he is the published writer, and wrote the script of the film. His novel was published in 1996 in Texas. He cannot come close to "Little Buddah" in production, but the story is quite good. Give it some time his production might be professional. I heard he is hooking up with Producers in Hollywood and Neer Shah in Nepal.

LOL. It is funny, how Power_Ranger applied his thinking! And I could totally relate to that, but there is a flaw in his logic. Power_Ranger's analysis: Hollywood production = Not lame Homemade production = Lame
Not necessarily.
And the person who wrote and produced "The Successor" in my opinion is not amateur, new, but not amateur in film production.

Christopher nice analysis there! Here's my analysis Robin Pandey = Wheel Wheel = Christopher Seems to be that Mr Wheel is seeking some attention. I remember his chakrapath.com for everything from meditation, investment, online college, ropeway in nepal, news, and now filmmaking is the new thing. It has been entertaining so far but the so called movie is not good, if you pay me 100 bucks I can consider watching it.
