Hi guys, I have bachelors in Finance and couldnt get a job. I am sick of this long process..college and then no job security...Now, I have H1B..and its been a month and a half on H1..no job through Dhoti Consultancy for a BA position. I am thinking of going back to graduate school instead and be productive..rather all the lies..on resume...LOL..I just need your advise as to what degree to pursue...I am thinking of either MS in Taxation or Computer Information Systems. The second option gets me 24months of OPT..but the first one only 1 year...Both degrees wont guarantee a job after graduation..despite being positive...it is a matter of hard..work and luck...Please advise me on this and I also need an advise on how to change status from H1B to F1?,Also,will i have to reapply for h1b later once i graduate with Masters degree..how does it work?? I did some preliminary research and found out that...Malai paystub chahinchha from the dhoti consulting to get I-20..and then once u have I-20..then process the change of status with USCIS..Any advice..please.... Thanks a lot....

Do a Masters and CPA both at same time if you have enough accounting credits.

cyrus,
How many years you have worked for BA as a consultant? Well if you don't have any experience then I would suggest you go for Masters . What guarantee is there you will get job after Masters? Think about it if you have already gained experience. Remember nowdays noone will take without experience even if you have good GPA?

Smoothcriminal...I am currently with dhoti consulting and have h1..tara..no job yet..for a Business Analyst. Tired of talking to all those stupid dhoti vendors...with fake job requirements...I know nothing is guaranteed these days..with college education..hard ..lot harder for Intl students...

I would go for a Master's in Accounting program. You can finish it up in a year. (Given u have enough bachelors accounting hours, if not may be a year and a half). If you have a good GPA (undergrad) and can maintain a good GPA throughout ur Masters u should be able to find a job.
If you do good (3.5+GPA) and have a good personality then you could probably get into a Big Four.
Good Luck.
