UML and Moaists are probably joining hands to stand against "One Madhesh One Pradesh".
I am just wondering what would be the position of the NC in this issue.
Girija got pat on the back when parliament was reinstated as a result of Jana-andolan II. That was one coincidence only and was enough to keep NC in the second position during CA election. Now another important issue of Terai is floating but GPK and NC seem still tangling over power-sharing especially the presidency.
No need to say NC was in the helm of power for almost 10 years out of 13 years after 2046 BS. UML has chance to be in the power hardly 2 and half years (9 months-minority government and 1.75 yrs- coalition with different partners). Though NC is time and again trying to shun from the responsibilities of the misdeeds and anamolies during the period, it is obvious that the party should share the major chunk of the pie. No doubt, credit also should go to NC for any good works during the period.
Whether NC, as the oldest democratic party, would be able to come out of this mess and would be able to demonstrate that the party is as important now as it was before especially with reference to Terai issue?

NC is in a receiving end of doggy position regarding Terai issue. Whatever happens, the blame will be on NC because GP Koirala is still PM of the country and Maoist has already humiliated them. If NC support Madhesi parties they will be blamed for playing cheap politics to preserve their power and if they oppose it they will be supporting Maoist move. So, NC is completely uked in this issue.

whatever position will NC have it will have no meaning, because no one trusts NC, even the kangresi...dont know their position.... whole thing will depend on the need for prolonging girija's stay in power longer.... to satisfy Katuwal........
By the way, Katwal Ji alias Ajay P Nath: whats your position on the position of Girija on Madhesh??>

NC is going to commit the greatest mistake in history by supporting whole terai-single province demand of madhesh. Just to give maoist a hard time, NC is going to put the FINALE of separist movement ignited by maoist on its shoulder. ITS BAD FOR NEPAL AND OF COURSE FOR NC as well. Now, I have started believing that the only political player in Nepal is Maoist. See, how they kicked Gayne's ass. Now, they are going to kick UML's ass by dragging the name of Shahana into the play. By urging RRS as first president, they are trying to get hold of terai. NC should keep themselves silent and remain out of the game. Let Maoist alone tackle the situation they brought.

NC flooded citizenship papers in Terai hoping to collect votes and then eliminate Maobadi.... that only backfired it during elections.... they became a fishwife party.
Now, this is another blunder.... they want to get sympathy of Madhesh to cling to power, but will soon get a kick in the butt.........It is true that, NC, with hunger for power and lack of competnece, will push Nepal towards Afganistan type of scenario.........

Maoists tilt to UML stance on Madhes
Kantipur Report
KATHMANDU, June 30 - Concluding that 'one Madhes one Pradesh' will disintegrate the country, Maoists and UML have decided to strongly oppose it. A meeting of the two parties in Singha Durbar on Sunday, however, decided to discuss proper definition of the autonomous Madhes province-the demand already agreed to by the government before Constituent Assembly polls.
.....................................................................................................................................................................
...................................................................................................................................................
Nepali Congress leaders, however, continued supporting the Madhesi parties' line.
As the three largest parties failed to take a uniform stance and convince Madhesi parties, the CA meeting was stalled again for the third consecutive day.
Members of Madhesi parties picketed the rostrum, forcing the chairman to adjourn the meeting till Monday afternoon.
Is it just the opinion of the journalists or a reality?
Unless NC especially Girija speaks out clearly, there is enough space to doubt about their intention.
