Everytime I come across some article about Nepal that says ," there are more than 40 languages spoken in Nepal", I get bothered for not getting the exact numbers. It would do some justice to all the languages in practice in Nepal if we could put a number on it.
How many spoken languages are there " EXACTLY"?
How many of them have their own scripts?
Does the Home ministry or any other ministry for that matter maintains any record on it?
Here are a few I can think of;
1. Khas Bhasa, widely known as Nepali Bhasa in practice--script-- Devanagiri
2. Newari bhasa..script--ranjana script
3. Tamang bhasa..script-??
4. Gurung bhasa..script--??
5. Maithali bhasa..script??
6. Sherpa bhasa..script??
7. Manange bhasa..script??
8. Tharu bhasa..script??
9. Rai bhasa..script??
10. Limbu bhasa..script..??
11. Cheppang bhasa?..script.??
12. Hindi bhasa..script..devanagiri
13. Tibetan bhasa.script-u-chen & gyuk yig
14. Magar bhasa..script.??
Keep adding on and remember BullShit is not a language..
