just read this ( taken fom ekantipur) "According to police inspector Arun Paudel, it is often difficult to catch the culprits because the victims usually tend to exaggerate the looted amount." now someone please explain me , why is it difficut to catch the culprits because the amount looted gets exaggerated???

Any forms of lying is not good and an exaggeration is lying and if victims lie, it sort of overrides or bypasses certain clues which affects the investigation process. Thinking other way around, why do victims exaggerate? Trying to collect more of easy money!
