Hey marshal67, Admit it that Nepal is the only country in the world with no single race, cast and culture. As Prithvi Narayan shah said it is a garden of different types of flowers.
You don't like it Go Fu(k your self.
There are also politicians in Nepal with different so called cast and background. Those who are clever, and win people's heart becomes the leader.
The only solution to the corruption is that we People have to act. Take a tape record if someone asks for bribe, or not doing their duty properly, report every thing to the responsible person with evidence that you have collected. See how long is this corruption chain. If it is all the way up to the top, then show all the evidence to the Nation, and let The Nepali people decide the fate of these Corrupt people.
We all know that it exists then why don't WE Nepali PEOPLE do something about it our self. Technology is here, Next time take your mobile and record all the conversations or take a hidden camera and record it and report it when you find these corrupt people.
If you have written the letter to a minister about the corruption with evidence; then save a copy and the postal reseat as evidence, if the minister does not act or is corrupt himself.
I know that lot of people think that these small things are just a fuss, and lot of work and just bribe them, But If we don’t act, then perhaps the next day there is an old man or woman who is in real trouble and needs help.
If we frighten and shake the bribe taking people then we may be helping that poor soul who is in real need.
I can write a whole report, in this, But What I am saying is Next time you meet or see someone taking bribe, or one guy jumping a queue because his relative is behind the desk then open your voice and fight these kind of injustice.
I will tell you a story on what I did last time.
I went to make a citizenship, after running from one room to other, up and down, this and that the Whole freaking day, I reached one desk, I was standing there in a queue for 10 minutes, One man just came behind me, and said to the man sitting on the other side of the desk.
“Hello dai namaskaar.” And they greeted, I told the man to go back at the line, he ignored me.
The government worker then called that man behind the desk, and was sitting and chatting on how his son was doing in the school. And ordered Tea, and stamped his friends son’s paper.
That bastard just had to signed my papers and stamp it,
I was sooooooo pissed off, wanted to make a big thing out of it, but my mother stopped me, I told the people standing behind me loud
“Do you know this gentleman behind the desk, Well if you know him, you all will get a cup of tea and you all will be citizen of Nepal today, if you don’t know him then well, may god help you all.”
My mother asked me to leave the room, I understand her because it was a very tens situation in Nepal because Of the Maoist, and they had declared Nepal band that day, but government office were open.
Apparently he then started working properly, and stamped all the people’s paper, that were in that room.
