Was thinking about the games we play as children growing up in Nepal, and uncannily it seems like most of the games we play are about bringing others down. 1. 7 stones: Hitting people of other team hard with tennis ball so it hurts. (sekkaune) 2. Forget what it's called but you attack each other standing on one leg only and holding the other behind by your hand. Attacking each other and making the other fall 3. Carrying another person on shoulder and charging at another team, trying to make them fall down. Can't think of others but i'm sure there are more. The point is we grow up playing games that encourage hurting others and bringing others down. This shows up very clearly in the grown up world of the Nepalis. Unfortunate but true.

I think there are similar games in other countries too. I don't think there is game where we try to let other to win it. Haina ra Bhanya? Jun game ma pani jitna ta khojinchha ni.

Nice observation, cryptonite. Add luka-mari to the list - single out one person and then everybody wages guerrilla warfare on him with "dhyappa" - something you can find on Sajha at times. LOL. :)

We lack the culture of appreciation...............we can't see others succeed. None to blame, it's the culture we brought up in. Barhakhari padda nai RAMRO MA padheko buddhi le aru lai kasari ramro dekhla ra.
