10-year jail term demanded for Deuba

KATHMANDU, May 16 - The investigation official of the Royal Commission for Corruption Control Monday demanded 10-year jail term for the former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba over the corruption on Melamchi scam.
Former Minister Prakash Man Singh along with four other bureaucrats has also been asked for the same period imprisonment over the Melamchi scam.
The investigator official in its charge sheet has claimed the corruption of over Rs. 370 million while awarding the construction contract of the Melamchi project.
The royal anti-graft body will gives its verdict on Tuesday. (dds)
