Let me give you couple of tips. To me its problem due to Processor or Memory modules.. Check CPU fan and heatsink Take memory modules out and put it back , you may have to replace it/them.

Before doing anything, if you know how to access CMOS setup, check some parameters in Frequency and clock speed of CPU. if you have no idea what to do, you can set it to DEFAULT. If that still doesnt work I am sure it would be either CPU or Memory.

I don't know what it is. The strange boxes on the right side of the screen. Take a screen shot of the screen, not a picture. and paste it somewhere, if you see the boxes, the problem is your Display Adapter, if you don't see the boxes, problem could be your monitor. if you don't know how to take screenshots. follow this: 1. press n hold shift then hit printscreen. (printscreen is the key next to scroll lock, 3 keys in keyboard after F12) 2. open microsoft windows 3. hit ctrl+v see what the screenshot looks like and the other site i'd say is - http://www.pcpitstop.com/pcpitstop/default.asp this site checks pc health from processors down to your VGA adapters and all. It might catch a problem, it might not. But whats harm in trying right? give it a shot. you don't have to be a member, just click on new users and then click on anonymous scan. it takes you through series of tests, no longer than 10 mins. let me know what comes up!

i think the problem is with the monitor and the CPU and hard drive.try to dfrag the hard drive, clean up all the junk files and try to get as much memmory free as possible so the the system is not slowed down.also check for configuration of the monitor. and make sure no spyware is runnig in the background.

Looks to me it could either be the Display adapter (VGA) or the monitor.Try to run your pc with another monitor to see if it works. Since your PC hangs as well, it might be possible that your VGA or memory is defective. If you have a spare display card, try to run your system with it. If the display is built-in with the motherboard, then you might need to change the board.

I would update the display driver first. you can download it for free from your computer vendors site as well as lots of the other ones. all you need is the model number of your computer and match the windows package that you have on your computer.
