I would like to hear from all Sajhaitis, if it was possible not to play Bhangra or any hindi music during the NEW YEARS party in DC.. I would like to get some feedback from party goers in DC....I dunno how many of you like Trance/Techno/DanceHall and Nepali pop and Folk songs. How about this year we play anything but Bhangara.... I was wondering so many of us go to clubs and Bounce... I don't think anyone complains because the house DJ didnt' play hindi or bangra.. but still manage to sweat on the dance floor.........

I would just like to know what kind of music you want to Dance too.....?????

Help me out so that we can Bounce the Night away at NEW YEARS..

I respect people's right and taste to listen to hindi or whatever songs.

But I am proud of the fact that I have not deliberately listened to any Hindi song or watched a Hindi movie in the last umm.......4 or five years. I dont make any special effort not to listen or anything of that sort, but simply dont feel like listeninn/watching hindi songs/movies. Baccha ma herera nai pugyo.

Once somebody asked me "devdas heryo?" and I was like "what?". later it came to my knowledge that it was a name of the movie. :)

Anybody else in the same league or is it just me?

And talking about modern Hindi songs and music

Many of the so-called mdoern Hindi hits AND NEPALESE HITS were shamelessly copied from western musicians. And these "musicians" (e.g. anu malik) are treated like demi gods. Not to mention many of our own modern Nepali gaayaks. Man, a few years ago this Nepali song used to be on the radio and TV and people had a really high opinion about it. The other day I heard a very similar if not the same music from a wesern band song quite many years ago. These copy cats command so much respect and admiration amongh Nepali and HIndi listeners. Thukka mula ho, f*** that.

Of course, there may be genuine singers with thier original masterpiece. Hats off to them. But how many hits have been copied? Only god knows. And whatever little respect I used to have for modern Hindi or Nepali songs and the "modern" musicians has gone down the drain for good.

yah, JB bro that seems to be the trend, from West to India, then India to Nepal. But, in all these mess, there are still original and great indians/nepali musicians. Like Jagit Singh, A.R Raheman, and Pankaj Udhas. As of nepali, they are plenty of new bands that are fresh and hot, that are very orginial to its roots and of course one of them is Sur Sudha.

no, civil war is exists because ppl who are very Radicals cant compromise. Indian Imperlisme(as u call it) has helped nepal in countless ways. without india, it wud have been hard for nepal to exist. By the way, without india, there wud be no taxis and buses in nepal, and yes dont say we can make our own taxi and buses. Civil war is caused by our own ppl, and by our own leaders. what has india, gotta do with it?? can u explain that to me?

and yeah, les not play bhangra in dc program, first of all, they always suck. remember the dance competetion. what a lame losers. organizers picked perfect judges, just so judges could pick their daughters to make them winners. thats really sad. ok, les not talk about that program or else its gonna fire another discussion. but about bhangra, why bhangra? i don't think i will even go to programs. coz THEY SUCKK BIGGG TIME. mark my word!

If you do not want Bhangra or any hindi songs to be played then please do not show up there on New year's eve. Firstly its a nepali program and peoplewould think playing hindi or bhangra would be preferable and people would have fun.Like I said if you have issues with bhangra or hindi music being played then guess what there are many clubs in DC that will have ur wish granted. If you do not go to clubs then SORRY thats your freaking fault. So lastly if you got issues then don't show up, if you don't have issues then please do come. How about this jus don't dance when those type of music is being played...... Alright. Thanks
