Dead Sajha basi haru... I bought 2 tickets from PEACE LAND TRAVEL which operates form Maryland on 7th of this month. I checked my credit card bill and there was a charge of 26 hundred(+) on 9th or the 10th. Today is 21st and I unfortunately have not got the tickets yet? Mr Rajesh who manges the agency seems to come up with many excuses on why it's being late with conflicting dates on which he says he posted the tickets. I'm suppose to fly on 26th and Rajesh has agreed to overnight the copy if I do not get it by tomorrow, 22nd. But how can I trust him anymore? Even if he did a regular mail, which he claims, it should be on my mailbox by now at any cost. Is this a scam? Has this happened to anybody? Suggestions, help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Through my personal experience, I'm suggesting not to go with PEACE LAND TRAVEL for air tickets to Nepal. You can save lots of headaches at the last moments before you fly.

vhootee im sorry to hear about ur situation...almost had a similar one but i made it through....i dunno abt the travel agent but if u made a credit card transaction, most banks have fraud protection laws...so if u tell ur credit card company that u were a victim of fraud, u won't be accountable for the money u spent on it. u can also report the travel agent to the local BBB (better business bureau) which is a federal watchdog for businesses. but i hope it's not a scam and i'd like to think that nepali run business run with honesty and integrity. good luck!

Dear Vhoote do not worry about your tickets. You will definitely get it in time (it may can give u a serious choke). hehe he he u understand what i am trying to say cuz been there and suffered that with same company. They are little ummmm slow u can say that but chokingly slow which will freak u out. By the way Mr. Rajesh is good man but he works like a Nepali Beaurocrates he he hehe. One of the thing i hate about him is he will do ur job but he will make u hang till late hrs and all this time u going through this horror he just gives u "TAALI TULI BATULI ANSWER" PEACE AND LOVE

Happy... Thanks for your concern and I'll keep those in mind if nothing works out. Swaati... I hope what you say is true and get my tickets in time. Whatever he thinks of himself, Mr. Rajesh has to realise that this is America and not Nepal. Professionalism, accountibility and honesty counts here. With that kind of service, trust me, he won't be in business for long. And I personally want to tell all the Nepali people NOT to support his business and that there are lots of other Nepali travel agencies who you can trust. Better to help them.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I learned it the hard way with them 2 yrs ago and I don't travel with them any more. If they still don't deliver, you might want to inform them that you will report them to "The Better Business Bureau". It should work since they will be recorded for breach of business contracts. Good Luck!

I have bought tickets to Nepal from Peaceland Travels twice and both times I received good service and price. But then, I was dealing with Mr. Robin Bhandari on both occasions. I do not know about Mr. Rajesh and his modus operandi.

I have used them before. I suggest you calling Robin Bhandari right away and sort it out. It shouldn't be a problem but if it is, then they need to refund you or fly you first class.

I would contact Robin Bhandari right away. Maybe there is a way for you to print your air-ticket over the internet; it might be worth exploring. The concerned airlines should help you out. As far as my personal experiences are concerned, I rate Peace Land excellent, so far. I hope things get sorted out for you, good luck with your flight.

Even though this thread was addressed to "Dead Sajhabasis", I am going to put my two cents. I had bought my ticket from Peaceland once a few years ago.I had got an excellent and timely service. As many already said, I was dealing with Robin Bhandary...not Rajesh.Robin was so nice even to talk to.He was very respectful and caring.I have always kept him on the top of my list of good Nepali businessmen in the US. My suggestion:call and talk to Robin.I am sure he will mail your ticket rightaway. DP.
