I saw this picture on kantipuronline.com and begin to wonder. What in the hell happened to our country and our culture. While growing up, I remember how Nepal was identified was a Peaceful nation. We had so much respect for our culture, traditions..We pray to crows, we pray to dogs, we pray to Naag and guess what we take lives of other fellow Nepalese with zero respect. If you look at it a worth of a Nepali Human life is lower than a vusia kukur. What a contrary? What happened to our values?
In a country which believes in 33 koti devtas and devis, not even one has shown a miracle we had hoped. 10,000+ lives already gone and counting and where is Vishnu with his chakra and where is Mahadev with his trishul! The question our generation should ask is shall we have new value system in place to move the country forward? Why are we spending too much time and effort ýdependingý on some miracle to happen? If King was to be a Vishnu Avtar, how come his son is a friggin Rawan who still thinks of himself as Al Pachino from God father?
So I think its time to have new values in place. What we need is not just a political revolution but socio-cultural revolution!
