I thought the Jam Nite II was a GRAND SUCCESS!
Jambu and Michael of NY Jam did a spendid job in organizing the show and played their wonderful collection of music to dance till 3:00 A.M. Dances that preceeded the Strings were wonderful and refreshing. The team of brother and sister (two Tenzings) just mesmerized the audience. Furwa Yolmo wowed the crowd as usual. Chogyal had a wonderful perfmoramance. And the hip hop by Norbu and Michael just made lovers of hip hop out of even the usual Nepali song listeners.
Strings then took the stage and conquered. Crowd just took over the floor and danced to the tunes of high octance filled Strings. They were just awesome and their future within the Nepali community in New York only seems brighter and, yes, secured.
New addition to our shows in New York yesterday was the introduction of whole new way of lighting the stage and the dance floor. Droves of lights, hung on the poles and rafters, as in expensive concerts, gave the viewers whole new of enjoying all the performances.
I will be remiss if I didn't mention the extraordinaire emceeing duties performed by our own Sangay Sherpa.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
