I have found barely anything to do there, and even TripAdvisor does not list the most exciting things to do there. You may disagree with me since each person has their own opinions. Nebraska is boring. End of story and yes this is the most useless state. "Omaha Zoo is actually the largest zoo in the world."

Any place is neither boring nor exciting. What your mind thinks, you experience that! I understand Nebraska and Iowa are flat and all you see is corn field. But, hey, corn can be exciting too!

As you mentioned you are moving from Bay Area, Omaha will be lame. First thing that will hit you hard is weather. Bay area weather is best. Outdoor activities will drop down to 10 percent as compared to SF. Transportation local will be as low as none. Uber rarely there will be. But can be found. Restaurants will be selective. Last but not the least you will save a ton of money. And you apartment will not be limited to 5x5 storage place. You will hear echo in ur apartment when you are alone. I mean it will be big and you will love it. If you want to save you came to right place. But will be depressed for a bit then you will enjoy if you go vacation on bigger places.

I cant tell compare to SF but they do play soccer, golf together. They have basketball and volleyball as well but i am not so sure regarding these games. Where are you going to work? Which company? Based on that you might want to choose the place you are going to live in.

I am going to be working for a brand new company that is just starting... there are only 3 people including myself. The location is in Omaha near the museum as far as I am told. the company is still finalizing the location but its going to be near or 5-7 block radius. I am also planing to go part-time for masters program while working. what do you think about University of NE, Lincoln / Ohama.?

Ha ha ha.......Sorry bro if you are coming from Cali to Omaha.Omaha is one of the disappointing places in USA.Nothing except makai bari till you see the horizon.Weather sucks -it's cold, grey and gloomy. When we were students, we used to get emails from the international advisors on not to go this and that places on certain days because there would be some Neo-Nazi rally occupying the streets. I remember once we were walking on a pavement- some folks came and told us-"Go home you curry n*ggers.". They thought we were Indians. It's a shitty place man. Escape the hell out of there once you get chance.

I graduated from UNO. If you are thinking of technical, unless you are extraordinarily talented, go for MIS. CS professors are very tough in UNO.
